Catrina sat for a bit longer, lost in her memories. She was surprised that the loss of her first litter still had such an impact on her. Of course, she had reacted strongly when she had been told what had happened, after they had gotten the ''nip out of her system. She had wanted to kill herself then, realizing the true cost of her stupidity. Her family, especially Cattaras, had seen her through that rough spot.
She shook her head, enough of this! A lot had happened since then: she had become a Sentinel, had met many new people, made many friends, had a few lovers, and had found the love of her life in Tangent! She had given birth to Serafina and Uriel, and was beginning to show with another litter!
She took the donut and finished it enjoying it greatly. She then got up and looked around for her friend. Spotting him, she went over and hugged him tightly around the neck, planting a kiss on his cheek.
'Thank you for listening to my story, Pinky, thank you for understanding.' She kissed him again. 'And thank you for the donut!'
She then left the restaurant, heading out in to the sunshine after one of Wysoom's frequent stroms...

Thalgor steps into the Golden Board, stepping to the side as the leaving catfolk brushes by him. His hand brushes against his purse, checking its presence, in a motion refined by habit. Once the door swings shut, he pauses to look about the room, noting the presence of other people, and decides on a table. He strides to the table, pulls out one of the chairs, turns it and sits, with his back to the wall but the table not blocking him from standing quickly, or stopping him from drawing his sword from its plain leather sheath.
Sniffing, he muses to himself "I think I'll have fish, today."

Pinky finished with his cutting and stood up, making his way out of the Merchant section of the pub. He made a quick stop by the bar to drop off a small box of donuts for the bartender before he made his way out. He had a delivery to make to the Sentinel guild.
His footsteps winded through the maze of Sauronan, eventually striding into the Sentinel guild. After showing his badge to the golems at the door, he made a bee-line directly for Catrina's desk. He dropped off donuts along the way, but he left a little something extra on Catrina's desk besides donuts: a pair of ambers that had been carved into the shape of kittens at play.
His delivery made, he wandered back to the Pub to finish with his unending cutting load.

Carina returned to the Sent guild later that afternoon, dreading the paperwork that she knew awaited her before she could leave. As she neared her desk a sparkle caught her eye. Next to the fishy donuts that Pinky had left her(Goddess be praised!) there were two pieces of amber, exquisitely carved into the shape of two kittens at play. She picked the gems up and marveled at them, her eyes misting over again.
She stroked the kittens lovingly then set them down, looking about the room. When she saw Pinky wandering about, making other deliveries, she knew what she needed to do.
She stalked her prey, and finally glomped him- knocking him to the ground with her astride him. she kissed him deeply, a kiss that would have given flesh creatures pause, and smiled.
'I love them, Pinky, and I have the perfect names for them! I'm going to name them Kinga and Marsi. That would have been their names, too.'

Pinky went down in a crash of metal and donuts, the shaped dough flying in every direction from the impact. A few muridan and arakun scurried out to collect some of the donuts before darting back out of sight with their precious cargo in tow.
Pinky looked up at Catrina, blinking his eyes for a moment as his processes realigned and reset to their proper function. Reaching up, he patted Catrina on the head as a slight smile appeared on his face.
"Self is pleased that you like the gifts. Would you allow Self to resume regular business protocols?"

Catrina laughed, then rolled off her friend, doing so in a manner that caused her butt to pass mere inches from Pinky's face! She knew that this would not effect him at all, but Pinky's gift had raised her spirits greatly, and she was in a teasing mood.
She helped her friend up as best she could, then snuggled up close to him and whispered in his ear 'I'll thank Tangent in your honor later.' She then winked at him and walked back to her desk, her tail flying high and happy, swaying gently with each step.

Pinky watched Catrina walk back to her desk as he dusted himself off. He still didn't understand some of the behaviors of the fleshy races but catfolk (females in particular) seemed to enjoy switching from one mood swing to another. Pinky simply shrugged and trundled his way back to the Pub.

Thalgor finished up his fish stew, licking his lips in appreciation. He slides a couple of coins under the plate, catches the eye of the barman, and walks out of the Restaurant. "If I were a Sentinel Guild, where would I be?" he muses as he walks down the street. "Ah yes", he murmurs, turning a corner and spotting the sigh for the guild. He steps through the door and to the side, giving himself a moment to look about the place. Nodding, he walks up to one of the front desks, and speaks to the human female sitting there "Greetings and salutations, good lady. I was hoping to speak to one of your fine upstanding officers regarding an ongoing investigation." The secretary, without looking up, replies in a nasal tone "Take a ticket, and wait in the lobby. One of our officers will be out to speak to you." Thalgor glances from the woman to the ticket dispenser, and grins wryly. Taking a ticket, he walks to a chair, muttering "Bureaucracy. Some things never change."

Catrina put down her pen and rolled up the final scroll. She then closed her eyes and rubbed the bridge of her muzzle. Goddess, she was beginning to believe that as the rank and file Sents helped cut back the crime rate, the higher-ups dreamed up more forms to fill out per crime!
She stood and stretched, working the kinks out of her back and tail. She then went out and looked about the waiting room to see if there were any people around.
